Zent Family Dental.jpg

Here at Zent Family Dentistry, one of the principles of our practice is that we build our patient relationships on a foundation of trust from day one. We hope that you have felt and experienced that trust throughout our relationship together. We very much value our relationship and the opportunity to serve you and your family.

We wanted to take this opportunity to inform you of a decision that we are considering that, if made, could impact how your insurance would work with our office. As of now, we have spent the last 6-12 months considering our in-network status with Delta Dental. We have been weighing the pros and cons from various perspectives so that we can make the best decision for our patients, our team, and our practice. We will decide this no later than November 1st. In the meantime, we wanted to educate you further about the potential changes.

To help you understand what could happen, we’ve compiled some Frequently Asked Questions if we were to pursue no longer being in-network with Delta Dental in January of 2025.

If I decide to stay with Zent Family Dentistry as an Out-Of-Network provider, how much more can I expect to pay

for visits?

• Insurance plans can vary greatly, depending on what kind of plan you have.

• Some plans will have little to no difference in benefits, while others will have differences between in and out-of-network benefits.

How will I know when you’ve made a decision on this?

• If we decide to go out-of-network with Delta Dental Insurance, we will send our patients a letter in the mail.

• In addition, we will send the same letter via email.

• We will also be letting our patients know when they are in our office or when we speak to them on the phone.

• If you are unsure if we have made a final decision or want to verify, please contact the office.

Why are you considering going out-of-network with my insurance?

• Patient care is most important to all of us at Zent Family Dentistry.

• In the ever-changing world, especially post-Covid, Zent Family Dentistry, and dentistry as a whole, has had to evolve. Delta Dental has not evolved with us.

• We do not feel that our patient-centered philosophy aligns with Delta Dental.

• We feel it has been hindering us in our ability to care for our patients in the way that we would like to.

Will you still file my insurance claims for me?

• We most certainly will!

• Even if we do decide to go out-of-network with Delta Dental, we will still file your claims for you, on your behalf.

• Currently, we are out-of-network with most insurance companies. In fact, over 50% of our patients already see us as an out-of-network provider!

We plan to continue to be your Dental Health Care Provider and are here to help you with your due diligence as you determine what is best for your family’s dental care in 2025, should we decide to go out-of-network with Delta Dental. We wanted to notify you of this possibility now to provide you with education so that you might know all of your potential options in 2025.

Just remember, that you can still keep Zent Family Dentistry as your Dental Healthcare Provider, even if we end up being out-of-network with your insurance plan. In addition, we will still accept Delta Dental, no matter what, and we will continue to send claims on behalf of all of our patients, whether we are considered in or out-of-network with their insurance plan.

Lastly, please know nothing will change with your insurance or our network status through the end of 2024, and if there is a change, we will let you know as soon as possible. If you have additional questions about your insurance plan or the possibility of us going out-of-

network with your insurance company, please use one of the below options to contact our office!

Success! Message received.
